Just not too sure if it would go good together.
I've been looking through some of the bloggers meals and I decided to write this little tid bit note.
Ya know, I really couldn't imagine putting peanut butter in or on my oatmeal. To me it just isn't something that would go good together. However, I have never tried it (yet). Maybe someday I will try it. But it just isn't something I would think would go good together. All the rest of the ingredients I say yes too. well even the banana doesn't sound too enjoyable.
I've made it with molasses for my son, vanilla, fresh grated cinnamon, flax meal, almond meal and then sprinkled it with some skor bits, coconut, b. sugar and almond breeze or milk. I had a bit and loved it- he ate the whole bowl he loved it so much.
I've used the large flakes and they are so much better than the regular oatmeal. But this morning when I was making the oatmeal the bag of oatmeal poured out over the kitchen floor. I have lots of the other though.

Adding PB makes it taste like a peanut butter cookie! :)
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you've got a good combo already in the works! No need to add the PB if you don't think you'd like it of course. I'd be a little weary of the molasses though, it's really not good for you as it's pretty much sugar syrup..
ReplyDeleteHere's my logic:
PB + banana = classic combo
oatmeal + PB = cookie combo
chocolate + PB = classic heavenly combo
chocolate + PB + banana = logical yumminess
Adding the PB (or almond butter) to the combo give some extra protein to the mix and keeps you fuller longer. I love PB or almond butter so much I'd eat it with almost anything. But it has to be the natural kind and not the kind that's got hydrogenated oils an sugar mixed in!
