HI!!! I didn't realize I had a fellow Pictou County person in the challenge with me! Yay!!!!
ReplyDeleteGetting together sounds great. As for your questions:
1. I fit exercise in whenever I can but I try to do it in the morning. I find if I do it in the evening it winds me up too much. (except for yoga because it is only available in the evening)
2. I try to have something with protien (yogurt, cheese string etc) within a half hour of finishing a workout. I can't eat too close before because it makes me ill. I've been told that having the protien quickly after helps repair the muscles and buld more muscles.
3. I don't think tea, and I know coffee doesn't count to fluid intake. Coffee is a diuretic and actually purges fluid from your system. I've heard (no real research here) that for every cup of coffee you should drink 2 cups of fluid.

I'm no expert for sure, but here's what I do:
ReplyDelete1. I exercise in the a.m. pretty much before I do anything else. I have read that it gets your metabolism going if you do it in the morning, but my reason for doing it then is that if I wait until later, I will MOST DEFINITELY talk myself out of it!!
2. I don't eat before I exercise. I end up waiting about an hour after before I eat mainly because I am busy getting kids out the door, so it just works out that way!
3. According to Weight Watchers new information from the Momentum Plan, all liquid (well, not ALL - I mean all NON ALCOHOLIC!)counts toward your water intake. There used to be restrictions with regards to caffeinated beverages, but they have dismissed that and count it all now.
